Eco Friendly Turbo Moka, New Design Reinterpreting Classic Moka Coffee Pot

Designer Matteo Frontini has updated the classic Moka coffee pot, adding a helical spiral base to cut brewing time in half. The Turbo Moka aims to transform the daily coffee ritual, giving a modern twist to the traditional design. The iconic coffee pot, invented in 1933 by Alfonso Bialetti and Luigi De Ponti, is well known worldwide. The Turbo Moka by Alfonso Bialetti and Luigi De Ponti reinterprets the design.

Frontini developed the prototype in 2024, giving a touch of contemporary design to the coffee pot. The modern Turbo Moka features a helical spiral design that provides 93 per cent more surface area and allows for twice the contact time with the flame compared to a conventional Moka pot. It uses 30 per cent less energy or gas consumption.
