These modern chairs, stools and benched are created with wind power and creativity of designer Merel Karhof. The Windworks furniture collection is colorful and eco friendly. The upholstered furniture pieces blended wood and wind power into stylish eco friendly products for modern interior design and decor in eco style.

Wood furniture, upholstery fabrics and painting were possible by using green energy. In 2010 the designer made Wind Knitting Factory, a knitting machine that works on wind energy. The stronger the wind, the faster the machine create pieces of upholstery fabrics.

Each upholstery fabric piece gets the tag with the time and date of its production. The unique furniture upholstery fabrics personalize modern chairs, stools and benches, adding character to one-of-a-kind furniture design.

Wood furniture design with water and wind power

The designer created a small factory that uses a green technology process for turning yarn into totally eco friendly furniture upholstery fabrics for chairs, stools and benches.

To create this amazing collection of eco friendly furniture pieces the designer used three wind mills for sawing, creating dyes and producing upholstery fabrics. Each wind mill was producing one of three eco friendly products.

The upholstered furniture pieces feature colorful small cushions created with the wind energy. The Windworks collection shows that it is possible to create totally eco friendly products, like upholstered wood furniture, for modern interior design and decor in eco style.
