Dramatic Concrete Pavilion with Panoramic Glass Viewpoint, Contemporary Architectural Design

This spectacular architectural design, featuring a glass viewpoint in a Chinese valley, is envisioned by DoDesign. The Drifting Stones pavilion is perched on a rocky site, providing an ideal setting for a building with a panoramic viewing area beneath a stepped roof of imitation stone. A large architectural design, flat-topped with a boulder, is surrounded by trees and mountains, offering breathtaking scenic views. A small stream adds tranquility to the landscape.

The studio sought to create a space that would immerse visitors in this picturesque landscape. The pavilion with a fully glazed viewpoint between the boulder and a stepped stack of steel-framed, cement-coated slabs looks futuristic yet organic. Steel frames, covered with a mix of poured cement and local stone powder, create the stone-like roof elements. Hand-chiselled by local artisans, slabs mimic the textures of the surrounding rocks, creating a unique architectural design.
