Creative New Design Idea, Ready Made Curtain with Cord and Pegs

Ready Made Curtain is a creative new design idea that allows to change interior design quickly and inexpensively. The contemporary window curtains give an opportunity to adapt, change and enhance interior decorating through the use of textile and a simple way to personalize the curtain for your window.

French designers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec offered a DIY interior decorating kit for making window curtains using a hanging cord that winds up like a guitar string. Ready Made Curtain is a collaboration between Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, www.bouroullec.com/ and Danish textile manufacturer Kvadrat.

The window curtain is designed as a flexible hanging panel, available in different colors, that users can adapt to fit any window and interior design. The DIY interior decorating kit includes a hanging cord, wall fixings, pegs and a curtain fabric from Kvadrat.

The hanging cord can be adjusted to fit any width of a window using its winding mechanism, which was inspired by the tension in a guitar string. The cord can be wound tighter when needed in order to maintain the right length and tension, and is easily transferable to another window.

The curtain fabric is available in a lightweight, semi-transparent and a woolen fabric designs in three colors. The winding mechanism, cord and pegs are available in matching and contrasting colors.
