Architects Eric Odor and Chris Meyer from SALA Architects, salaarc.com/ completed this modern house design and created 2,250 sq ft of warm and bright living spaces.
The sustainable design ideas on a budget turned the residence in Minneapolis, Minnesota into an eco friendly, charming and inviting home. The Urban Green Project is a lovely wooden building that accommodates a spacious living room with a dining area and a modern kitchen, three bedrooms and two bathrooms.
The modern house design project was developed on a budget of $500,000. Traditional building and decorating materials and contemporary interior design ideas are blended into attractive, warm and bright home. Gorgeous comfortable brown colors of wood and bamboo floors, combined with rich red accents fill these modern home interiors with charming personality.
Energy efficient modern house exterior and interior design
The modern house design created on a modest budget features a few energy-efficient elements. Passive solar heating and day lighting, natural ventilation due to the narrow building profile and open plan, high-efficiency appliances, high-efficiency dual-stage furnace, dual-flush toilets and low-flow faucets, bamboo floors, composite fiber-cement siding, shell durability walk-through and blower door-performance testing make this house design pleasant, comfortable and less expensive to maintain.
Wooden interior design ideas are mixed with white paint colors and home furnishings in neutral colors. Bamboo floors, wooden kitchen cabinets and wall panels, interior window frames and staircase design add coziness to modern interiors with contemporary appliances and an open layout.
