This unusual modern house is named Wilkinson Residence. The house is located in lush forests in Portland, Oregon, USA. The owner is a music fan, so the surprising and innovative modern house design is in harmony with the natural landscape and perfectly fits into the surroundings landscape, reflecting an eco friendly attitude and a strong passion for music.
Located on a flag lot, a steep sloping grade provided the opportunity to bring the main level of the house into the tree canopy to evoke the feeling of being in a tree house. A lover of music, the owner of this modern house wanted a home becomes an organic part of the natural landscape and addresses the flow of music. This house design evades the mechanics of the camera, offering smoothly floating living spaces.
It is difficult to capture the way the home interiors flow seamlessly through to the exterior.
